Originally from Mexico City, Yeni lived for many years in the US. She has three children from a previous marriage, two of them have remained living in the States. She was expecting the third child, Monica, when she moved back to Mexico. Yeni and José have been together for seven years. José is originally from Guanajuato and has lived in Peñasco for the past 3 years. Together they are raising Monica, and their son, four year old Daniel. Yeni is bilingual and works in a call center, and José works selling used clothing, as well as in construction when work is available. He is also a capable plumber and mechanic and will take work doing either of those jobs as well. The family has been paying on a land lot, and are currently living in a small travel trailer. The RV is in poor condition, is small and offers little security or protection from the elements.
